– 1tbsp olive oilโฃ
– 1 1/2 lb ground beefโฃ
– 3 garlic cloves, mincedโฃ
– 2 onions, finely chopped โฃ
– 2 medium carrotsโฃ
– 1/2 tsp saltโฃ
– 1 tbsp paprika โฃ
– pepper, to tasteโฃ
– 1 tbsp Italian seasoning โฃ
– 2 tbsp flourโฃ
– 2 tbsp ketchupโฃ
– 1 cup red wineโฃ
– 1 cup beef broth โฃ
– 1/2 cup frozen peas โฃ
– 4 cups cheesy mashed potatoes (mix 1/2 cup mozzarella and 1/2 cup cheddar into your mashed potatoes)โฃ

โช๏ธHeat oil over medium-high heat in a large, deep pan. โฃ
โช๏ธAdd the beef and cook until browned and all the meet juices have evaporatedโฃ
โช๏ธAdd garlic, onions, and carrots and continue cooking until the veggies are starting to softenโฃ
โช๏ธSprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and flour over the pan and cook for 2 minutes, stirring often.โฃ
โช๏ธStir in ketchup and cook for about another minuteโฃ
โช๏ธPour red wine and beef broth, and bring to a boil. Cook until most liquid has evaporated and a thick gravy form (this will take about 10 minutes)โฃ
โช๏ธStir in peas and check for seasoning (adjust to taste)โฃ
โช๏ธSpread mixture in a 7×11 baking dish.โฃ
โช๏ธPreheat oven to 400 degreesโฃ
โช๏ธAdd mashed potatoes over the meat and spread evenly. (I also sprinkled some paprika over it for a little flavor boost)โฃ
โช๏ธBake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, then broil for about 5 or until golden brownโฃ
