Did you know that there are 25 gr of protein per 100 gr of lentils? Beside that beans in general are a great substitute to meat for their nutritional value. Unlike meat, beans contain fiber which is fundamental to our gut health.
I choose lentils to make these bean balls as it’s my absolute favorite for its rich flavor.
Ingredients needed:
380 gr dry lentils
2 large carrots
1 leek
2 garlic cloves
200ml water
5 tbs olive oil
1 tbs soy sauce
5 tbs cornmeal
2 tsp salt
Basil leaves
1/2 black pepper (optional)
