🇬🇧HOMEMADE CRUMPETS🇬🇧 Coming from England, crumpets are eaten both salty and sweety🥰 • INGREDIENTS🥛🧂 (for 5 units): – 125g of flour – 80g of skim or vegetable milk 🍼 – 75g of lukewarm water 🧊 – 5g of dry baker’s yeast – 1 teaspoon of baking powder – A big pinch of salt🧂 * RECIPE🥠🥣: 1️⃣ In a bowl, mix the baker’s yeast with lukewarm water🧊 and let stand for about 5 minutes
2️⃣In a bowl🥣, mix the flour, baking powder and salt🧂. Then add
baker’s yeast diluted in water🧊. 3️⃣ Finally, gradually add the milk 🍼 then knead until you get a homogeneous dough 🥠, thick and elastic. Cover the salad bowl🥣 with a cloth and let the dough rest 45min-1h ⏰in a lukewarm place.
4️⃣Once the dough 🥠is well rested, it should make small bubbles. You can now cook your crumpets on a lightly oiled pan🍳 (also oil your cookie cutters). Fill the cookie cutters (1/3) then cook over low heat 🔥 about 7-8min (until the top of the crumpet becomes dry). Then turn the crumpets over for about 1 min. So much for super fluffy and delicious crumpets!❤️ I chose garnished with cream cheese🧀, smoked salmon🍣, lamb’s lettuce🥬 and radishes. But you can put whatever you want on it. Don’t forget to toast them before tasting them😊. BON APPETIT! 🍽🥰
