Rasam / Coastal Ambrosia is a traditional South Indian dish that truly encapsulates the Sanskrit term “rasa” Meaning juice. Traditionally it is made with black pepper and tamarind. Both being native and abundant ingredients in South India. I have used tomatoes and other seasonings along with Rasam Powder of @eastern_in
This Rasam powder perfectly seals the flavours of other ingredients (Toor dal, coriander, kashmiri chilly, black pepper, fenugreek, cumin, turmeric, salt, chilly, asafoetida) that tingle your hungry taste buds. No wonder it is often referred to as the AMBROSIAL DRINK! .
